The owner runs the machine
Shuksan Earthworks is the excavation side of Sam Jensen's operation, run out of Maple Falls in the Mount Baker foothills. Sam is the owner and the operator. When you call the number on this site, he is the one who answers, and he is the one in the seat when the digging starts.
The company is registered with Washington State as a general contractor: SHUKSAN SEPTIC & EARTHWORKS, license SHUKSSE755JP, UBI 604916135. You can look that up on the state L&I contractor lookup before you hire us. We would do the same in your position.
The machines are compact Yanmar mini excavators, the red and yellow units in the photos across this site. They are chosen for the ground we work: tight, treed, often sloped lots where a big machine does as much harm as good.
